Saving the planet and sustainability is extremely important to me. This zine allowed me to express my passions visually. The design process and considerations for this project taught me how to print, design and make my work visually exciting.
The outcome is a 12-page zine with a posterzine. Within the zine, I expressed the importance of saving the bees using visuals and my own sketches inspired by Snoopy and the Peanuts gang. Alongside these illustrations is text expressing what will happen to the planet if we don't start to make changes. A design choice I made with the posterzine was to print it on sustainable seeded paper which can be planted. When planted, this will grow into flowers which in turn will help to save the bees.
At a Zine show hosted by Nottingham Trent University, I won a special mention award for this zine! There is also a feature of my work posted by @ntuprintshop on Instagram.
This zine has been entered into the Young Creatives Nottingham 2024 competition and I am currently awaiting further information about the results.
